Starting a CertHE in Psychology with the University of Essex is an excellent starting point in my pursuit of my chosen career and goals. Of course, completing the CertHE to get onto the BSc Honours Psychology and completing the BSc Hons is my obvious goal.

Continuing my education into postgraduate study is where I am wanting to head onto next but in which area of study? Psychology? Neuroscience? Psychiatry? Neuroimaging? Neuropsychology? I have so many options I have thought about taking and considering I am at CertHE level, I have a lot of time to think and choose where I’d like to carry onto postgraduate study but I like to think ahead and have a final goal I’d like to achieve and with that said being said, aswell as understanding the psychological processes in the causes of mental illness, I’d also like to understand the biological causes of mental illness so studying clinical psychology, neuropsychiatry & neuroscience is what I’m leaning towards. Once completion of my BSc Hons, I’ll have a firmer idea of what I want to progress onto.

Further progression onto a PhD or DClinPsy is the last goal of mine but I’ll keep you further updated in the future with that.
